I have only had a brief glimpse of the Historical and Cultural
Dictionary but I gained the impression that the world of 20th-century
Korean literature is virtually absent from its contents. There was an
entry for So Chong-ju, but it seemed rather brief and out-of-date (it
didn't mention my translations, either, but that's not my point). I can
quite see why listing all those writers and their works would be a
project in itself, but since the title includes 'Cultural' I would be
glad to know what the editorial policy was for modern literature.
