Dear list,

just one point from somebody who would not dare to call himself even an
amateur in ancient Korean history:

I have read the Silla Pongi translated by Prof. Dr. Michail Nikolajewitsch
Pak some years ago as a freshman and am still grateful for having had the
chance to do so without knowing too much about Hanmun or even modern Korean
etc. But what I think should be emphasized is that the translation, at
least of the first volume, is in RUSSIAN.

Dear Dr. Tichonow, do you know about a planned publication in ENGLISH,
which would make the Samguk Sagi available to a broader western audience
(and, from an economist's point of view, could be rather profitable)?

Best,

Rudiger Frank
