The June meeting of the Chosenshi Kenkyukai will be held Saturday, June
17, from 1:30 pm.  The presentations will be in Japanese.  This month's
speakers are:



Research Report:

Shin Tonggyu.  "The Landing Site of the Dutch in 1653 and the Route of
Their Movement in Choson."


Book Review:

Matsumoto Takenori.  "Colonial Modernity in Korea," edited by Gi-Wook
Shin and Michael Robinson.  Cambridge, MA: Harvard University Asia
Center, 1999.



The meeting will be held at the Kanda campus of Senshuu University,
Room 207.  Senshuu University is near the Kudanshita and Jimbochou
stations, and is a short walk from the used bookstore district known as
Kanda and Jimbochou.
