Just a short note on p´unsu seen as an obstacle, for instance,
when building a road etc. : p´unsu pratitioners do not only look at
the landscape and base their decisions only on what is there,
deciding positively or negatively. P`unsu as a aesthethic system
also has a pragmatic side to it: If the place does not offer 100% of
the necessary conditions there is a number of measures to be
taken to MAKE it 100%. And with the observation how bulldozers
play an enormous role in shaping the landscape in Korea these
days, my feeling is that practical considerations must play a much
greater role these days than traditional values... P´unsu can be
made use of on a more real and on a more symbolic level.
