[KS] re: Korean Studies in Tokyo

Dear Colleagues,

The August meeting of the Chosenshi Kenkyukai will be held on Saturday, 
August 18.  This month's speakers, who will present in Japanese, are below.

Research Presentation:
Matsuzaki Yuko.  "The Electricity-Related Concessions for the American Firm 
Collbran and Bostwick in the Great Han Empire."

Book Review:
Kasuya Kenichi.  "ChosOn shidae tangjaengsa, volumes 1 and 2," by Yi SOngmu 
(Seoul: Tongbang midiO, 2000).


The meeting will be held at the Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo, in 
Room 112 of "Houbun" Building 1, from 1:30 pm.  The University of Tokyo is 
near Hongo san-choume station and is across the street from a row of used 
bookstores.
