I want to announce the upcoming events related to the statue dedication of An
Ch'angho in LA and Riverside, CA in August 10-11. All are welcome!

To kick off the events, I will deliver the opening talk at the Dosan
symposium. (Yes, Dosan is Mr. An's pen name and it can be also written as
Tosan, based on M-R). The presenters at the symposium will include Dosan's
family members, academics, librarians, community activists and industrialists
who have been involved in the project.  The dedication ceremony will include
the unveiling of the statue and brief comments by Chairman Mike Hong who was
most responsible in creating the statue; the current Korean ambassador to the
US, Dr. Yang Sung Chul; former prime minister Dr. Kang Younghoon; Dosan's
eldest daughter, Susan Cuddy, among others.
