Dear Colleagues,

The February meeting of the Chosenshi Kenkyukai will be held Saturday,
February 17. This month's presentations, in Japanese, are as follows.

Research Presentation:
Pak T'aegyun. "The Process of Establishing South Korea's Economic Development
Plan: Focusing on the Spread of Economic Development Theories and Changes in
American Policy toward South Korea"

Book Review:
Wada Haruki. "Manju chiyOk Hanin Ui minjok undongsa (1920-45)," by Shin
Chubaek (Seoul: Asea munhwasa, 1999). (Inclement weather forced the
postponement of this review last month.)

The meeting will be held at the Kanda campus of Senshuu University, in
Room 106, from 1:30 pm. Senshuu University is near Kudanshita
station (exit 5) and Jinbochou station (exit A2), and is a short walk from
the used bookstore district called Kanda or Jinbochou.
