LECTURER IN KOREAN

The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of 
Michigan invites applications for a Lecturer in Korean.  Depending on 
qualifications, the appointment may be for a renewable one-year term 
as Lecturer II, or for a renewable three-year term as Lecturer III, 
beginning September 1, 2002.  Applicants should have at least an M.A 
in Korean language pedagogy, linguistics, or a related field, familiarity 
with contemporary foreign-language teaching methodology, and 
experience teaching Korean at the university level.  Demonstrated 
success in curriculum development and supervision of graduate 
teaching assistants is highly desirable.  To apply, send CV, three 
letters of recommendation, and an application letter that outlines your 
training, experience, and career plans to:  Korean Lecturer Search Committee, 
Department of Asian Languages and Cultures, University of Michigan,
