Yes, there is no available copy more so far as I know. I mean as a new one (in English).
I found two internet antiquarian bookshops delivering a copy of the second printing (1979)
http://www.redshoes21.com in Korean
http://www.akaikutsu.com in Japanese
I guess both of them are the same as the name shows itself.
And they share the same stock-no. (BookNo: 156862506), too.
But the price is different. I don't know why. the Korean USD 99.0, the Japanese USD 77.0
You could possibly find in your country a similar one selling it at lower price.

For purpose of reading I recommend you to visit the next address.

This online version is gratis and very reliable, based on
Gale, James Scarth (1922): The Cloud Dream of the Nine. London: Daniel O'Connor.

To own a screen, actually I have no idea what it is, anyway
If the language would make no difference, then, in Italian
Kim, Man-jung / Riotto, Maurizio (2001): Il sogno delle nove nuvole - romanzo coreano del 17. secolo.
Palermo: Sellerio ISBN - 88-389-1738-8 EUR 23,24

Hi,

I would like to ask you whether there is a translation of the Nine Cloud =
Dreams by Kim Manjung that are available in the market to buy.
Portland Art Museum Asian art council members want to buy and read the =
novel as the museum owns a screen.
I suppose Richard Rutt's translation in 1974 is out of print and =
unavailable.

Best,
Junghee Lee

Dear list members,
I have another query from a colleague that I hope some of you might
be able to help with.
Kim Chi-ha's tamsi "Kogwan" mentions the fire of Taeyo^ngak Hotel in
the early 1970s, and my colleague is wondering if Kim's allusion to
the fire is more than simply a response to the widespread rumor that
it was owned by Park Chung Hee's daughter, Pak Ku^n-hye (or a close
friend or a relative) and that many of Japanese who stayed at the
hotel were in Korea as a part of kisaeng tourism. Who owned the
hotel at the time of the fire and was the owner related to or friend
or protege of Park Chung Hee? Any relevant info on the hotel would
be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Namhee
