Intercultural Institute of California (IIC)
 
Now Enrolling for the Master of Arts in Korean Studies

The Intercultural Institute of California (IIC) is a private, independent, 
nonprofit organization, offering Korean studies programs.  Located in the 
heart of San Francisco, IIC hosts a public lecture series, promotes research, 
and publishes selected books and articles. The IIC community of scholars and 
students is committed to collaboratively engaging the culture, art, language, 
politics and historical legacy of Korea, examining its relevance to the 
present and envisioning its prospects for the future.

The Intercultural Institute of California offers certificate programs (ESL, 
Korean Language and Culture, I.T. Computer Technologies) and the Master of 
Arts in Korean Studies in two areas of emphasis:

Professional Application of Korean Studies (PAKS)
This program provides interdisciplinary training to those who wish to pursue a 
career in Korean Studies. Students are encouraged to develop their own 
interests within the curriculum.

Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language (TKFL)
This program trains those who wish to be professional Korean language 
instructors. Core courses focus on the methodologies and materials development 
of teaching Korean.


All courses are taught both on-site and on-line.
Full or partial scholarships are available.

CURRENTLY ENROLLING.  The Spring Semester 2004 begins on January 20.
