The Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies invites applications 
for a research position in Korean Studies, available from January 
2005. This research position will be held in an academic department 
in the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies corresponding to 
the candidate's specialisation. The position is open to scholars in 
the social sciences, with preference for someone working on Korean 
politics, international relations, anthropology, gender studies or 
human geography.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high-level 
research in his or her area of specialisation, supervise graduate 
students, and assist in the promotion of Korean studies at the 
University. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to teach 
a course in the Faculties in the first year and possibly in 
subsequent years.
