Dear Korean Studies List Members,

I am interested in assembling a panel for '05 AAS annual meeting and would
like to hear from scholars who might be working on topics that might fit
together.

My proposed paper examines the relationship between Confucianism and women
in late Choson from the perspective of intellectual history. Another
scholar, who comes from South Korea, would be presenting a paper about
shifting status of women in late Chosun from the perspective of social
history.

Thus I am seeking scholars interested in presenting work pertaining to
women's history, Confucianism, and/or any related topic in (preferably
premodern) Korean culture.

Those interested should contact me off-list at y2kim at brynmawr.edu

Best,

Youngmin Kim,
Assistant Professor, East Asian Studies, Bryn Mawr College
