Stanford University seeks candidates for a tenured or tenure-track faculty
position in the social sciences at the junior or senior professorial rank,
whose teaching and research are focused on contemporary Korea. All
applicants in the social sciences with area expertise in Korea will be
considered. The position will be jointly held in the School of Humanities
and Sciences and the Stanford Institute for International Studies (SIIS).
The successful candidate will also be expected to provide leadership for the
further development of the study of Korea at Stanford. A junior appointment
will be to a tenure track position and those applying should send three
professional letters of recommendation and a writing sample. Stanford
