[KS] currency exchange rate in the early 1980s

Greetings, Namhee.  The won's exchange rate against the dollar was  about Won700 against the dollar.  If I remember correctly South Korea introduced a new "quasi-flexible" exchange regime in the fall of 1980 by scrapping the old fixed rate of W500:$1.00 in a move to address balance-of-payment woes.
