Dear Colleagues,

The December meeting of the Chousenshi Kenkyuukai will be held Saturday,
December 17, at the Hongo campus of Tokyo University. This month's
speakers, who will present in Japanese, are below.


Research Presentation:
Tsuji Yamato.  "Ginseng Policy in the Late ChosOn Period: The Procurement
and Management of Ginseng in Kanggye-bu, P'yOngan Province"

Book Review:
Tanaka Masataka. "Chousenjin senji roudou douin," by Yamada Shouji, Koshou
Tadashi, and Higuchi Yuuichi (Tokyo: Iwanami Shoten, 2005).


The meeting will start at 1:30 pm in the Akamon Sougou Kenkyuuto, Room
738. Tokyo University is located near the Hongo sanchome station. For
