[KS] Rags-to-riches in Korean literature?

I am doing work on social mobility and I would appreciate help locating
novels/short stories with the basic theme of "son from
impoverished/down-on-its-luck family passes government exams (or the like)
and brings honour/wealth to his whole family". Examples from classic or
modern Korean literature would both be welcome.
