[KS] By train from Seoul to Incheon--what's in a name?

In Response to Stefan's question, and from many other comments I have read 
on the board, it is very interesting to see the various place names that 
were around in the 1700 -1900's here in Korea.  Although a tough subject at 
best, I have read documents in Japan dated in the 1800's referring to Seoul 
as Kyongsong (ÌÈàò),  which in a way also makes sense for that time period.
