Dear friends and colleagues,

A friend who is a priest near Leeds kindly sent me a flyer
on the conference below. I had not heard about this,
so I wonder if others have?

It may be aimed more towards the faithful than Koreanists -
not that those categories are exclusive. But there are at least
four speakers from Korea, plus others from China, S Africa etc

The contact person is Kathryn Dunn:
k.dunn at yorksj.ac.uk

Unfortunately I can't make the first link below work.
Others may have better luck.

Aidan

Welcome to Theology & Religious Studies :
The International Conference on Peace and Reconciliation

In Search of a Common Identity: The Korean Peninsula and Other Contexts

15 - 18 August 2006

Establishing a common identity is an important part of any process of
reconciliation. In the case of reconciliation between North and South Korea, this is
particularly pertinent. The nature of the conference is interdisciplinary but
perspectives from theology and religious studies will be particularly to the
fore. Although the focus of the conference is on the Korean peninsula, relevant
research on the topic of peace and reconciliation in other contexts will
bring a most welcome contribution to the discussion.
