Park Yon's descendants in Korea are unknown, the rest of the crew had
(most likely) descendants but since genealogies at the end of the
19th century were forged a lot there is only ONE descendant of the
crew who openly admits and is proud of his family tree. The Kangjin
government is doing it's best to convince the others to be open about
their lineage, they are having a hard time.

MBC aired a number of shows around Solnal about couples in mixed
marriages in order to promote the interest and the awareness of
people. However from the eight couples there was only one of which
the husband came from a South Asian country (Pakistan) one of which
the wife came from the Japan.

The others came from Slovakia, Egypt, Iran, America, Switzerland and
Holland. Also a hastily formed Dutch youth team played soccer against
ShootDori and during the match (read: show) mainly the Dutch blond
children were shown and not the mixed children.

I think Korea still has to go a long way to accept fully the idea of
integration.
