[KS] Kyujanggak Archives Travel Grants Announcement

The Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies would like to announce the
inauguration of their travel grant program. Aimed to promote the advancement
of Korean Studies through facilitating the research of the Kyujanggak's
unique archive, the grants are open to domestic and foreign professors,
lecturers, Ph.D. candidates, and research institute fellows, as well as
independent researchers on a case-by-case basis. The grant provides
administrative assistance in accessing the archives, as well as 1,000,000W
for both foreign and domestic scholars, and up to 1,500,000W for foreign
scholars who require a more long-term stay. Upon their acceptance, grantees
will be asked to participate fully with the Institute's academic community
in their various events, and the results of grantee's work will be
encouraged to submit their work for possible publication in the Institute's
publications, Hanguk Munhwa and the Seoul Journal of Korean Studies.
Applications are accepted year-round and will be handled electronically.
