Dear Koreanists: One of my students is working on research paper on the
<<Pakssi puin chon>>, a Choson-period novel in han'gul with a female heroin.
We have not been able to find any books or articles on this topic in the
recent histories of Korean literature. Many years ago, when I was a
undergraduate student of Mark Peterson, he showed me a Ewha Womans
University dissertation on the "Women Generals" genre of literature. Do
any of you know of scholarship in Korean or English on the topic of this
genre or the <<Pakssi puin chon>>? I would appreciate any help!
