The Department of History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites
applications for a tenure-track assistant professor beginning August
2008 with a specialization in any period of the history of Korea.
Applicants must have completed the PhD by the start of the appointment.
Candidates must demonstrate promise of a distinguished career as a
scholar and teacher. Interested candidates should submit a
letter of application, a CV, three letters of recommendation, and a
writing sample of no more than 50 pages of text. This sample may consist
of an article, essay, or book/dissertation chapter. Chapters should be
accompanied by a brief outline or statement providing the context of the
larger work and its argument.
To ensure full consideration, application materials must be received by
the end of the business day, Friday, November 15, 2007.
