Dear list members,

Korea Journal cordially invites contributions of book reviews for the books listed below. Published in 2008, the books will be definitely of interest to students and researchers of Korean studies, as well as ordinary readers interested in Korea. 

1. Michael Finch, Min Yonghwan: The Selected Writings of a Late Chosŏn Diplomat
(Berkeley, Calif.: Institute of East Asian Studies, University of California Publication, 2008).

2. Sem Vermeersch, The Power of the Buddhas: The Politics of Buddhism During the Koryo Dynasty (918~1392) (Cambridge, Mass.: The Harvard University Asia Center, 2008).

3. Grace M. Cho, Haunting the Korean Diasphora: Shame, Secrecy and the Forgotten War (Minneapolis, Minn.: University of Minnesota Press, 2008).

4. Kelly H. Chong, Deliverance and Submission: Evangelical Women and the Negotiation of Patriarchy in South Korea (Cambridge, Mass.: The Harvard University Asia Center, 2008).

Selected book reviews will be published in Korea Journal and the authors will be paid a certain amount of  honorarium set by the board of the Journal. Contributors are requested to send an electronic version of the manuscript in the form of a Microsoft Word file along with a curriculum vitae (short version), as e-mail attachment.
