[KS] Korean maps in the 19th Century - Save the Date, November 20, 2009

Dear all,

If I may put in a plug for the AGS (American Geographical Society) Library,
it's a wonderful resource and well worth a visit. The library houses one of
the largest cartographic collections in North America - roughly half a
million maps and atlases - which I've been told is second only to the
Library of Congress among American map libraries.

I also promised my colleague Angie Cope that I would send out a reminder
about fellowship opportunities: For US-based or international scholars with
an interest in cartography or historical geography, there is funding
available for short-term research trips. The next deadline for applications
is coming up soon at the end of October:

All best,
Nan
