        KAS Semi-Annual Private Viewing of Korean Masterpieces in the Brooklyn Museum Storage Area on Friday, October 30th at 11am
  
    Our event last week was well attended by Korean art lovers, including major museum curators from all over, and was well covered by the newspapers (please see the Press page on our site). Our next event is on Friday, October 30th at 11am at the Brooklyn Museum, home of one of the most extensive Korean collections in America. They have agreed to give the Korean Art Society a semi-annual private viewing of the Korean masterpieces in their storage rooms. This is a special opportunity for you to see rare pieces that are seldom ever displayed to the public. The Brooklyn Museum has been collecting Korean art for 100 years, and was the first museum outside of Korea to open a permanent Korean gallery. The Korean government recently spent 5 years cataloging Brooklyn's important and comprehensive collection. Attendance was full at this  event last time, so we encourage you to contact us now if you want to attend. This event is free. -Robert Turley
