Korean Studies Faculty Position at Graduate School of International Studies,
Seoul National University

The Graduate School of International Studies at Seoul National University
(SNU) is accepting applications for one full-time faculty position, open
rank, and tenure track in Korean Studies to begin in March 2011 or September
2011. We are seeking an international scholar with outstanding research and
teaching credentials, in particular in the fields of Korean
Politics, Korean Culture(including literature) and History, and North Korea.

Requirements

Each candidate must have earned a Ph.D. by August 2010 and will be expected
to lecture in English (2 courses per semester). Excellent competence in oral
and written Korean and English is essential for each position, and
native-level competence is a plus.

Application

Candidates should submit a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, descriptions
of three prospective courses, and a 10-year research plan including three
publications (dissertation, books and articles) to Dean, Graduate School of
International
Studies, Seoul National University, San 56-1, Sillim-dong Gwanak-gu, Seoul,
151-747, South Korea. Applications are due no later than September 30, 2010.
Short-listed candidates will be interviewed in early or mid October, 2010.
