Dear all,

Many apologies for posting this announcement for a Kyujanggak colloquium so late, but I thought many of you who are residing in/happen to be in Seoul would be interested in the following talk by John Frankl (Underwood Int'l College, Yonsei):

INVERSE MODERNITY: THE CONTRADICTORY FLOWS OF TECHNOLOGY AND IDEAS IN JAPANESE OCCUPATION PERIOD FICTION

The lecture will take place in the Kyujanggak building, Seoul National University Campus, on Thursday 18 March, 4-6 PM.
For further details, including whom to contact for further information and an abstract of the paper, please go to http://e-kyujanggak.snu.ac.kr/_Board/Detail.jsp?id=1150&type=13
