I have a computer question for the Korean Studies crowd. I use a Mac but have created a Windows partition so I can read hwp files. Howevermy hard drive died recently. I was able to restore the Mac part of my hard drive (thanks to that wonderful Apple creation Time Machine) but was not able to restore he Windows portion of my hard drive. I plan to do so soon. However, I'd like to upgrade from the Windows XP with Han'gul 2005 I was using.
Can anyone tell me if, in order to use the latest Han'gul word processing program, if I have to install the Korean version of Windows 7 first or if the lastest Han'gul word-processing program will run ok on top of an English Windows operating system? I used a Korean version of XP but may have a hard time finding a Korean version on Windows 7 in Vancouver.
Thanks for your help.
