I am not an art expert, but isn't this the painting: http://kr.blog.yahoo.com/kbs4677/3161? It looks very much like Shin Yunbok's Miindo, but the figure portrayed is looking the other way.It is also called Miindo. according to the information on the blog the painter is not known.

Good luck with the identification,

Dear List Members:

I need help identifying an image. The image appeared during a concert last year here in Seoul. I've called a contact who was one of the concert organizers and asked him to help me identify the image (I need this for an article I am working on), but my contact is telling me he thinks the image is Shin Yun Bok's "Mi-in do." Unfortunately, it is not.

I've looked through some images from the Joseon era, but not having any luck. Would the Korean art specialists on this list be able to take a look at the image in this photo (projected on the screen behind the singer) and tell me the painter and title? I am thinking it is a detail of a larger painting. It was displayed during a scene from the pansori "Shimcheongga", if this helps.

I sincerely appreciate any help list members can provide.

Thank you.
