Dear list members,
The third issue ( 2.2) of *Korean Histories *is now available with articles
on American visitors to colonial period Seoul, nationalism and literature,
shaman songs and the nation and the introduction of potatoes in Korea. This
issue also contains a research note on Philip von Siebold's description of
Korean sailors washed ashore in Deshima in the early 19th century,
accompanied by a translation of the original text and digitized version of
the original drawings. As always, we welcome your feedback. (
