Position: Full-Time Assistant Professor (Tenure track)

Keimyung University is a prominent, well-established academic institution located in Daegu, South Korea.  Keimyung University was established by Presbyterian missionaries following the Korean War in 1954 to provide higher education with Christian values.  With over 28,000 students, including 850 international students, Keimyung is the nation’s 9th largest University.  Keimyung University also has one of the largest communities of international professors in Korea, with more than 100 professors from Europe, Asia and North America.  Keimyung is strongly committed to supporting its international faculty. 
 
Keimyung Adams College (KAC) is Keimyung’s international honors college.  KAC offers all of its courses in English to an elite student body drawn from the Keimyung university system. KAC’s exciting new program offers degrees in International Business and International Relations to both Korean and international students. KAC is rapidly expanding and seeking new faculty members.

Required Qualifications 
The successful candidate is expected to be fully committed to achieving excellence in teaching, able to complement existing faculty and willing to collaborate with faculty from other colleges and departments as deemed appropriate. 
 
The Department of International Relations is searching for a new professor.
Candidates should possess either a Ph.D or ABD. Candidates with an M.A. degree and three years of work experience in the field of international development may also apply.  Suitable fields include:
-       International Development, Developmental Economics, International Trade, Applied Economics
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities 
The successful candidate for this tenure-track position will primarily be responsible for teaching 9 hours per week, and will be expected to evaluate students and carry out limited administrative tasks.
 
Salary
The successful candidate will be paid a competitive salary. The starting salary of all positions is negotiable based on specialty, professional experiences and academic accomplishments. (Around 50,000 USD)
