Associate Professor (W 1) of Korean Studies 

in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Tübingen 

 

The Faculty of Humanities at the University of Tübingen invites applications
for the position of Associate Professor (W 1) of Korean Studies with focus
on modern Korean society and culture. The position is initially limited to
four years, with the possibility of extension by a further two years. 

 

The chosen candidate will be requested to teach four hours per week (six
hours in the last two years) during the winter and summer terms. 

 

Requirements for appointment are an excellent PhD dissertation,
publications, teaching experience as well as excellent command of the Korean
language (spoken and written).

 

The University of Tübingen is committed to increase the percentage of female
scientists in research and teaching, and strongly encourages applications of
qualified female candidates. Disabled applicants with equal qualification
will be considered preferentially.
