[KS] An interview with a North Korean nuclear defector

In 2000, a female former-worker at the Yongbyon Nuclear Research Center in North Korea defected to China. 

Then in 2002, she was interviewed by RENK (Rescue North Koreans), a private, pro-defector group in Japan. Yes, her interview was published in Japanese, but until yesterday her entire, uncensored interview has never-before been published in English.

Since the interview was conducted -- not by the CIA -- but rather by a private organization in Japan, there's a chance that the CIA was unaware of her interview in late-2002 when the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State met with high ranking North Korean officials in Pyongyang to discuss their nuclear weapons program. I filed a FOIA request, so we'll know soon what the CIA knew or didn't know (unless that information remains classified).
