Assistant Professor/Faculty Position in Sogang University, South Korea 
The Department of Religious Studies at Sogang University, the Jesuit University in Seoul, South Korea, (http://home.sogang.ac.kr/sites/ereligion/Pages/default.aspx), invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in Chinese/Korean 

religions (centered on Confucianism) at the assistant/associate professor rank, to begin in fall 2013. The Ph.D. must be

in hand by time of appointment.




The ideal candidate is expected to have a background in Humanities (Religious Studies / History / Philosophy), specializing 

in the study of Chinese/Korean religions, centered on the Confucian tradition. The candidate must be able to work with

Confucian scriptures in classical Chinese, and fluent in (spoken and written) Korean and English so as to conduct academic 

works of teaching and publication in both languages.
