Dear Mr. Sasse,
now in English. I think 禾+蜀 might be corn.

Subject: [KS] Obscure Chinese character
Hello to all of you.
Has anyone come across a “Chinese (?)”
character consisting of 禾+蜀, not to be found in any Chinese or Korean dictionary in my library. From the context I know that it must mean "sorghum".One possibility coming to my mind is that it was made up on the base of Sichuan
sorghum shushu 蜀黍, Kor. choksŏ ,but
this is a mere guess.
Any help appreciated...Best,Werner
