Hi Folks,

I know masks have an important role in Korean history and shamanic
practice. But I am wondering about this scene in "Welcome to the
Dongmakgol," where they light the heads at the entrance to the village.
Does this have some historical referent? Or is it made up just for the
magical aura of the film?

Thanks in advance!
