[KS] A Korean refugee knew about Pearl Harbor in advance

This may be the smoking gun, or perhaps not. But I found evidence that the Americans were tipped off to an attack on Pearl Harbor in advance (was this information based on Kilsoo Haan?).

On October 15, 1941, J. Edgar Hoover received information from a "strictly confidential source" (Who I believe was the head of the Military Intelligence Service -- a group of Japanese-Americans who were used as translators, investigators and interrogators). Based on that information, Hoover requested that an investigation of an important Austrian chemist -- who lived and worked in California -- be initiated "with a view to determining whether [he] should receive consideration for custodial detention in the event of an emergency." What sort of "emergency" was Hoover referring to?

The information that Hoover received was redacted by the FBI. I will now attempt to have that redaction removed through a FOIA request. Stay tuned!

According to a U.S. intelligence report and testimony during a Congressional hearing, an "important" Korean refugee from Japanese-occupied Korea said he was aware of Pearl Harbor in advance. I am considering writing a paper on the subject. Can anyone suggest a journal that might be interested in this topic (unless it has been discussed before)? I would also like to hear from anyone who can offer additional information on the subject.
