Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the release of a new dictionary for Buddhist
Studies, with the title "A Korean-English Dictionary of Buddhism"
(Seoul, Unjusa, 2014).

Including almost 12,000 entries in 1560 pages, this is a dictionary
aimed primarily for a user who knows the Korean rendering of a Buddhist
term, and wants to know the English equivalents. I.e., the entries are
arranged in Hangeul order, followed by the Chinese term, English
equivalent, and explanation.

As you might guess, this work is derived from the DDB, with most entries
being shortened and simplified. It also contains a substantial number of
entries on Korean place names, temples, schools, texts, and so forth
that are related to Korean Buddhism.

To make it useful to scholars who don't know Korean, we have also
generated indexes for Pinyin, Japanese (roman and kana), Korean
(McCune-Reischauer and Revised Romanization), as well as Radical-Stroke
and Total Strokes. These are all available from:

http://www.acmuller.net/unjusa/index.html

A link for Internet orders is also included on this page. The price is
90,000 Korean Won, or US $ 90.00

Best regards,

Chuck
