2014 Call for Proposals for English Translation of 100 Korean ClassicsWe, Korean Studies Promotion Service (KSPS) in the Academy of Korean Studies, are pleased to announce the 2014 new project support plan for English Translation of 100 Korean Classics program. If you are interested in translating Korean classics materials into English, please consider 2014 Application Guidelines of this program and submit a project proposal. 1. Program Objectives
- To select and translate the 100 selected Korean classics - which are considered to best embody the spirit, thoughts and culture of the Korean people - into English, with the accompanying explanations and annotations, with a view to promoting them globally.2. Support Details 
- Budget for New Projects: 410,000,000 KRW
- No. of Projects to be Selected: about 10 projects
- Budget per Project: 25 million ~ 100 million KRW
- Support Period: 3 years 
- Target of Support: domestic and overseas research teams, research institutes, individuals
- Conditions of support
◦ Applicants are free to select one or more volumes from among the 100 Korean classics to translate, which may amount to ONE through FOUR books upon publication (refer to p.2 in the application guidelines).
- Application Period: 10:00, 19 Sept. 2014, (Fri.) – 17:00, 25 Sept. 2014, (Thu.)
