The RAS Concert.
Friday, November 14, 2014, at 7:30pm at Buam Art Hall. “Love and Loss: An Evening of Music with the RAS.” Performances of traditional and modern music by 3 different groups, around the theme of Arirang.
Tickets KW 10,000. Registration is now open.

The RAS Cinema Club with the Seoul Film Society
These are free showings of great Korean movies, with an introduction and free-wheeling discussion after, at 3pm every first Saturday afternoon of each month in Haechi Hall, Seoul Global Cultural Center in Myeongdong, Seoul.
RAS - Business & Culture Club
Next meeting: At noon, Tuesday 11 November. Bridges of Cheongyechun
After a brief gathering at the Dunkin Donuts, we are going to move to Cheongyechon and stroll along. Brief explanation on bridges will be provided. The Business & Culture Club meeting is held on every 2nd Tuesday of the month. Please join the Facebook Group of the above name to receive detailed information.
RAS Reading Club
We talk about a Korean short story translated into English each month in the library at Jongno District Office. Please see the Facebook page for more information.
Visit to the National Museum of Korea
Wednesday, December 3, meeting at 7 pm in the Museum’s main lobby. Topic: Conservation and restoration. Every month, usually on the first Wednesday of the month, there is a special guided tour in English of one portion of the National Museum’s collections for RAS members.
RAS Photography Workshops
Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2:00 pm: autumn leaves and traditional buildings. RAS Colloquium in Korean Studies
An informal gathering each month for the presentation and discussion of research by people engaged in Korean Studies at a serious level. Contact Brother Anthony (ansonjae at sogang.ac.kr) for more information.
Our office also serves as a bookstore, with many rare and interesting titles about Korea available, with a discount for RAS members. Please phone before visiting, to be sure there will be someone there.
