RMMLA Asian Comparative Literature and Film Panel CFP:  “Memory and Identity In Literature and Film”

 

Call for Papers:  Comparative Asian Literature and Film Panel(s) at the 2015 Rocky Mountain MLA Annual Convention October 8-10, 2015 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  We welcome paper proposals that address the theme of Memory and Identity in Literature and Film, including both traditional and modern periods.  Topics may include but are not limited to:  

 

--Landscape, Imagery/Imagination, and Memory

--Aesthetics of Memory

--Objects and Memory

--Cinema of Memory

--Photography and Memory

--Autobiography, Gender, and Memory

--Nostalgia, Affect and Memory

--Childhood Memory

--Cultural Memory

--Trauma and Memory

 

Please submit a paper abstract of approximately 250 words along with a short bio to Mark Levine (mark.levine at morehouse.edu <mailto:mark.levine at morehouse.edu>) by March 1, 2015.  Notice of acceptance or rejection will be given by March 31, 2015.
