[KS] South Korean Generations

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Is anyone aware of existing literature on generational politics in South
Korea? I'm fairly certain nothing substantial exists in English. But in
Korean? South Korean society is often segmented (uncritically) into three
generations. While this may be defensible, it usually isn't defended.

There is, for instance, a fairly well developed literature in Taiwan (in
Chinese) on what historical events have "made" Taiwanese generations. It is
very nicely reviewed by Shelley Rigger in this 2006 East-West Center *Policy
Studies* monograph
<http://www.eastwestcenter.org/publications/taiwans-rising-rationalism-generations-politics-and-taiwanese-nationalism>.
I would be very interested in reading anything that South Korean scholars
have generated.

Many thanks in advance.
