The ICF fellowships for young Korean Studies scholars and others (especially students in English-American literature or comparative literature as well as Korean Studies etc) who are intent on becoming translators of Korean literature into English are generous sources of support. Only a very small number are awarded each year. Full details and application forms are available at http://www.icfkorea.net/translator/program_eng.asp  The awards are mainly destined for non-native-speakers of Korean, Korean nationals are only qualified to apply if they are permanent residents outside of Korea. The awards are usually given to students currently enrolled in university studies at  graduate-school level.
