The Research Institute of Korean Studies (RIKS), founded in 1957, is one of
the oldest and largest global Korean studies centers with about 100
researchers and support staff.

Our objectives are to produce and disseminate resources for experts and the
general public, to employ the latest information technology in humanities
research,

and to promote interdisciplinary research and international cooperation in
Korean studies.
