Dear Marc,

thanks for pointing out my mistake, you made me happy, and also for giving the etymology of navagraha.

By the way, "numerology" and "birth number 5" (internet) bring the same 9-er sequence, but never any hint for where this idea came from. Do you have any idea?

Best

Werner

Dear Werner,

I am sorry I cannot help you solve the mysteries in that passage from
Tongguk sesigi, but I hope you may find these notes of some use.

> ??(skr. Nahagraha, often translated as "planets" or "luminaries") <

?? corresponds to Sanskrit navagraha with -v- like its Latin cognate novem.

Graha, incidentally, is literally 'seizer' (and by extension,
'influencer' - i.e., seizer of destiny); its root is gra(b)h, and its
English cognate is grab.
