The UCLA Division of Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in any field of the Social Sciences who has strong research and teaching interests in Korea. We seek a scholar with demonstrated distinction and strong future potential in research and teaching.  The successful candidate will be a dynamic program builder with a commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and research.  She/he will hold a 100% appointment in the department of her/his discipline, but will be expected to participate in the activities of the Center for Korean Studies.  Appt. to begin July 1, 2017.  Send letter of application, vita, statement of research and teaching interests, 2-3 selected publications or dissertation chapters, and the names of three referees to Korean Social Science Search Committee, Center for Korean Studies, 11371 Bunche Hall, Box 951487, UCLA, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1487.  Applicants should have a Ph.D in hand or be expected to have the Ph.D. by June 2017.  Review of applications will begin October 15, 2016 and will continue until the position is filled.
