RIKS Academy
Research Institute of Korean Studies at Korea University is operating a program for graduate students in both Korea and abroad, under the auspices of the Pony Chung Foundation, as shown below.
RIKS Academy
①Goals : Further developing young scholars’ expertise in Korean studies and creating a network of young researchers.
②Eligibility :
- Korean and foreign-national graduate students who are in M.A. or PhD programs in field of Korean Studies
- Applicants must be able take courses, give presentations, and participate in discussions conducted in Korean
③Number of Participants :
20 total (10 Korean graduate students, 10 foreign-national graduate students)
④Dates : Mon. Aug. 1 – Wed. Aug. 10, 2016 [10 days]
⑤Place : Research Institute of Korean Studies, Korea University
⑥Main Programs : Intensive courses, Research Symposium
⑦Funding Information :
-Scholarship awarded to participants: KRW 1 million (for room and board assistance)
-Travel Grants are available for participants from abroad (KRW 1 million/≒USD 870 for participants from the Americas and Europe; KRW 500,000/≒USD 435 for those coming from Asia)
