The KoreanStudies Program seeks to fill a continuing position to be taken up byJanuary 2018.

Asa Lecturer in Korean Studies you will be expected to coordinateand teach in the expanding undergraduate Korean language program at MonashUniversity and also develop content courses in Korean Studies. You willundertake research supervision of graduate students; engage in original andinnovative research; be prepared to collaborate in research, team teaching andcurriculum development. You will also be expected to undertake a share ofadministrative tasks within the program and/or school.

As thesuccessful candidate, you will have a dynamic research and teachingprofile with a strong track record in a Korea-related field of research andexperience in teaching Korean language, linguistics, and/or translation andpedagogy. To be successful for this position, you will need toshow evidence of your strong interest in interdisciplinary researchand have native or near-native proficiency in English and Korean. You must alsohave previous experience in teaching Korean studies and Koreanlanguage and linguistics at a tertiary level.

This role is afull-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
