lecture on technical knowledge in the late Chosǒn dynasty in Copenhagen
this Friday. All welcome!

The late Choson dynasty has been characterized by some historians as
stagnant and backward, and at the same time as early modern and comparable
to the European renaissance by others. This lecture questions both views.
