Dear Korea Scholars & Friends,

It is with profound sadness that must I inform you all that we lost Martin T Bale, a still somewhat yound and budding Korea-centered Archeologists, Professor, and member of the Early Korea Project. 

He was a beautiful person and thoughtful scholar. He loved Korea with all his heart and was doing some interesting work on Korea’s Bronze Age.

His funeral will be in Pusan from Sep. 26th-28th

Still grappling with this news on a personal level as well so apologies if this is short on the details. I am hoping that this will reach folks in time who wish to know and attend the services.
